Star Trek Was Almost a Sam Raimi Joint
Before J.J. Abrams signed on to reboot the Star Trek franchise, the producers at Paramount originally offered the directorial job to Sam Raimi. While we would've loved to have seen what Raimi would've done with the film (one guess: fewer lens flares), we're not exactly sad he passed. After all, if he had committed to another franchise, the world would likely never have had the pleasure of seeing this summer's most rock-'em–sock-'em horror movie, Drag Me to Hell. [Wrap]
