And not a moment too soon! Seventies-era songwriting forces Marvin Hamlisch and Rupert Holmes will be collaborating on the music and the book for the musical adaptation of The Nutty Professor, which will be directed by rookie theatrical director Jerry Lewis. Yes, that Jerry Lewis. There's no word yet if the remake will include any of the fat-suit antics that made Eddie Murphy's 1996 reboot such a massive hit, but if it does, you can bet that the Norbit musical will immediately go into production.
