Merce Cunningham Dead at 90

Sad news today: Legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham died last night at 90. "It is with great sorrow that we note the passing of Merce Cunningham, who died peacefully in his home last night of natural causes," the Cunningham Dance Foundation said in a statement.
Cunningham had spoken with New York on a number of occasions recently. In April, Rebecca Milzoff interviewed him on the eve of the debut of his Nearly Ninety, and she and Cunningham discussed dance photography for Vulture last March. More links below.
