We were sound asleep by the time 12:01 a.m. hit last night, but millions of Harry Potter fans (and possibly even the pope!) were apparently hitting movie theaters nationwide all hopped up on a mixture of Red Bull and Amortentia. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince took in an estimated $22.2 million at midnight screenings, paving the way for a potential $200 million haul by the time Sunday night rolls around. Can you imagine how popular this would've been had they figured out a way to work some abstinent vampires into the script? [DHD]
