Mininova in Trouble, Sort Of

Bad news for people who optimistically believe in the efficacy of judges' orders to remove copyright-infringing material from the Internet! Following the recent successful prosecution of the Pirate Bay — which predictably failed to shut down the Pirate Bay — piracy-facilitating BitTorrent website Mininova has been asked to remove all links to copyrighted movies, music, and TV shows, or face a penalty of 5 million euros. On the off chance that this somehow impairs your ability to download movies, music, and TV shows from Mininova, we suppose you'll just have to get them from the million or so other websites offering the same things.
