Sad news to pass along. Les Paul, the original guitar hero, passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia. Paul was a pioneer in the development of the guitar sounds that came to define rock music as we know it today; not only was he instrumental in the development of the electric guitar, but he is also widely credited as being the innovative mind behind the development of studio recording techniques such as overdubbing and delay effects.
