Popular recording artist Ryan Adams has penned his inaugural column for the Awl, and it's almost as great as the theme song he recorded for the blog last week. He's writing about video games, beginning with the classic arcade shooter Gorf: "Playing Gorf is like getting wasted, or what I remember about getting wasted: It's loud, it's confusing, there are a bunch of lights going off, people (robots) are shooting at you, you need pizza, etc., then its game over."
