An Australian performance of A Streetcar Named Desire ended early last night after Blanche-playing Cate Blanchett was accidentally whacked on the head by a prop radio thrown by Stanley-playing Joel Edgerton (he was supposed to throw it out of a prop window). Blanchett, ever the professional, attempted to continue the scene, but blood on her head and neck forced her to stop and she was taken to a hospital. A spokesman for the show says she's "absolutely fine," thank goodness, and will return for tonight's performance (we'd probably recommend Edgerton wear a cup). [ArtsBeat/NYT]
