Were you aware that prior to this afternoon, no studio had ever before announced plans to develop a Barbie movie? Correcting this unbelievable oversight today was Universal, which just announced a deal with Mattel to produce a motion picture based on the world's most famous toy property, something we think would've inspired a film even before Legos, Battleship, or the View-Master. Of course, no plot details have been revealed yet, but if you have any ideas, producer Laurence Mark, who's inexplicably making this thing, would probably appreciate them.
