It's confirmed! Pavement will reunite for a one-time-only tour next year. The first announced show is the aforementioned September 21, 2010, date at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park, for which the presale begins tomorrow (details here). That concert, to be clear, is more than a year away, which can only mean Stephen Malkmus has a bunch of bills due now. [Matablog]
