Pavement Reunion Reportedly Actually Probably Happening, Maybe!

Brooklyn Vegan reported it last night, and we figured it was a lie because it always is. But now Pitchfork and Stereogum are both claiming to have received solid anonymous confirmation, so it must be true! Pavement is allegedly reuniting and has supposedly already scheduled their first concert date — September 21, 2010 (next year), at New York's Central Park SummerStage. Why now? Maybe they couldn't find enough decent bonus tracks for a Twilight Terror reissue? Regardless — if true! — this is pretty awesome.
