Week in Review: You Call This Best Female Video?
It might've been just another week but for the heroic actions of one man. On Sunday, a pall was cast over the VMAs when the wrong artist was named the winner for Best Female Video. But as Taylor Swift was thanking her small cabal of fans who'd somehow managed to rig the voting, Kanye West bravely bounded onstage and poetically articulated what we were all feeling, a deed for which he was commended by hip-hop colleagues, two presidents, 18 million television viewers, and 93 Vulture commenters. What else happened this week?
