Nikki Finke reports that the Weinstein Company's Dimension Films has stopped production on Halloween 3-D after receiving a first draft of the script on Friday. The movie, budgeted at $2.5 million, was to start shooting in November so that director Patrick Lussier could begin work on another movie in January (there are tentative plans to make H3-D when he's free later). Despite what you're thinking, Finke says it's not because the Weinsteins are out of money; Bob just thought the movie was "rushing too fast." We don't remember that being a problem for Inglourious Basterds, though. [Deadline]
