No Tree of Life Till Next Year
Terrence Malick's Sean Penn– and Brad Pitt–starring The Tree of Life, a presumed candidate for a bunch of Oscars, will not be finished in time to make its previously scheduled December 25 release date, which Apparition chief Bob Berney says was "wishful" anyway. Not much is known about Tree, which Malick has been working on for more than 30 years, so today's delay only furthers our suspicion that it's secretly a rap album. [TOH/indieWIRE]
