Soupy Sales Dead at 83
Bow-tied pie-throwing innovator Soupy Sales died in a New York City hospice last night from multiple health problems, according to his manager. He's most famous for The Soupy Sales Show, which ran between 1959 and 1966, and the time he was suspended by the FCC for asking kids to go through their parents' pockets and send any "funny green pieces of paper with pictures of U.S. Presidents" to him.
