Following America's amusing rejection of both Jim Carrey and Christmas over the weekend, Disney Studios president (and a 29-year Disney vet) Mark Zoradi stepped down last night. It was apparently part of the company's ongoing restructuring that already cost chairman Dick Cook his job in September and effectively shuttered Miramax. According to insiders, Zoradi's ouster was unrelated to the soft $30 million opening of Carrey's $200 million A Christmas Carol and had everything to do with Disney CEO Bob Iger's belief that he was too rooted in the old-timey marketing and distribution methods of yesteryear. Hilariously underlining that point is the train he sent across the country to promote Carol.
