Martin Scorsese Is Ready for His Close-up, Will Accept DeMille Award at Golden Globes

Unlike the Oscars, which have unceremoniously dumped their Lifetime Achievement Awards from the telecast in favor of doling them out at some crappy, untelevised party in Los Angeles this weekend, the Golden Globes have announced that they're giving their Cecil B. DeMille Award to furry-eyebrowed director Martin Scorsese this year. For old times' sake, we really hope that he, Robert DeNiro, and Harvey Keitel decide to engage in a little pre-party action before the Globes, just like it's 1973. [Envelope/LAT]
