After his lawyers' non-cash bail offer to Swiss authorities was rejected on Friday, Polanski's lawyer announced that he will be presenting a new offer tomorrow in hopes of winning the 76-year-old director's freedom while he awaits extradition to the U.S., claiming that it will be a "very, very significant" cash amount. The lawyer, Herve Temime, told a French radio station that if given temporary freedom, his client would never "behave like a fugitive." Why, the very idea is just ludicrous! [AP via Google]
