NBC has picked up Friends With Benefits, a comedy from Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, the screenwriters of last summer’s (500) Days of Summer. ABC passed on the series, which will be directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers). The single-camera show will tell the story of five friends who are settling for “friends with benefits” until they find love preferably in the form of Zooey Deschanel. [Variety]
