Now here’s an exciting beef: You know that Disney Wizard of Oz prequel Sam Mendes is circling? So You Think You Can Dance judge and Oscar producer Adam Shankman just left another Disney project he was attached to direct (Bob the Musical) because he, too, wants a crack at Oz, the Great and Powerful. How badly does Shankman want this job? So badly that he’s been retweeting the tweets of people who think he should get it over Mendes (this is totally gauche, right?) — he already has the support of Joel Madden and some sandwich-maker! We hope for Mendes’s sake that Disney doesn’t settle this with an arm-wrestling match.
