If, like us, you’ve never stopped playing alumni watch with The Wire cast members, you’ll have a hard time sitting through the trailer for Lottery Ticket. For some awful reason, Gbenga Akinnagbe — whose performance as a homicidal, steely, near-silent, and generally terrifying drug-ring lieutenant Chris Partlow on The Wire was really, really, really good — plays a cartoonish bad guy. His entire appearance in this trailer consists of punching Bow Wow, scowling, and getting punched by Ice Cube (why, yes, he does go flying in the air into some garbage after getting hit!). This is an outrage! Bow Wow — until we hear otherwise, we’re holding you personally responsible.
