As flood waters recede in Nashville, the country-music world is starting to take stock of just how much the overflowing Cumberland River hurt them. Brad Paisley lost most of his touring guitars and equipment when a 160,000-square-foot storage and rehearsal space was flooded. Singer Steve Azar lost more than $100,000 in equipment he had stored in the same place. And not only did the flood destroy instruments, it destroyed boots. Trail West, a westernwear shop to the stars, was filled with several feet of water, and the Grand Ole Opry’s stage was covered by two feet of water.
