Because we are inundated with vampires, but not Civil War–era ones, Fox’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be arriving in theaters on June 22, 2012. The movie, based on the “novel” by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ Seth Graeme-Smith, will be produced by Tim Burton and directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the guy who got Angelina Jolie to shoot curve-bullets in Wanted. The film is not cast yet, but they’ll be looking for someone with the grace to keep their top hat on while staking vampires, which should narrow the field. [Variety]
