Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film has got a title: The Dark Knight Rises. Note that Nolan’s sticking with “Dark Knight” in the name, as opposed to returning to Batman: The L.A. Times hypothesizes this might be a hint that Nolan plans on bringing back Harvey Dent, or it could just be a sign he intends the third film to be as face-meltingly dark as the second. Nolan also says that the Riddler, the bad guy it seemed Tom Hardy would play, won’t be the villain of the piece, in part, we assume, because even Nolan can’t make green bowler hats threatening and scary.
