MPAA Now Specifically Warning Viewers About ‘Male Nudity,’ Thanks to Sacha Baron Cohen

What do the odd triumvirate of Jackass 3D, Eat Pray Love, and Grown-Ups have in common? They’re the first three films to receive the gender-specific warning of “male nudity” from the MPAA in conjunction with their ratings, an odd distinction that isn’t made when actresses disrobe. “Parents requested specifically after the movie Brüno that we provide such information,” said ratings-board spokesman Craig Hoffman of the Sacha Baron Cohen film, which received a ratings notice last year that warned of “pervasive strong and crude sexual content, graphic nudity and language,” yet mentioned nothing specifically about twirling penises shot in close-up.
