Peter Jackson’s pretty pissed off at New Zealand actors’ unions that want more money for and better treatment of Hobbit extras, and he’s threatening to film the Lord of the Rings prequels elsewhere. But the people have spoken. According to Deadline, “New Zealanders are leaving nothing to chance when Warner Bros executives arrive early this week. Prime Minister John Key and other politicians are trying to salvage The Hobbit situation so the shoot stays in New Zealand … Peter Jackson brought them all that Lord Of The Rings fame and fortune and tourism and work.” So, some of them have made this awesome video. Is it enough to end the fighting? Is Jackson just playing hardball? Who could resist this?
