Yesterday morning, dutiful readers of Kanye’s Twitter woke up to a sight the world hadn’t been privy to in far too long: an awesome Kanye rant! This time it was directed at the Today show’s Matt Lauer and expressed via a barrage of salty tweets (this one was the best: “Everything sounds like noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING SOUNDS LIKE NOISE!!!!!!! I don’t trust anyone!”) The backstory was that Kanye had gone on the show to tape an interview about how the Taylor Swift incident had made him reconsider his George Bush comments, and while he was talking, the producers ran a clip of the Swift incident, which distracted ‘Ye mightily. In order to quell any doubts about their journalistic professionalism, Today ran the offending bit, and then Lauer and Meredith Vieira spent half a minute mumbling about how it was common practice to play footage of whatever the interviewee is discussing and gosh, gee, it’s not a big deal, like, at all. But don’t let the MSM make up your mind for you! The clip’s above: Is that enough to justify the Kanye rant?
