At 11:30 p.m. next Tuesday, MTV will air a special called No Easy Decision about abortion. It will focus on Markai, a young woman who appeared 16 and Pregnant, as she decides what to do about her second pregnancy. Abortion has generally been taboo on television (with characters having miscarriages or changes of heart instead, though they’ve become a little more common of late), and the late air time is a nod to that. Unfortunately for Markai, and everyone watching at home, Drew Pinsky will be on hand to dispense advice, having taken some time from his busy schedule of calling Angelina Jolie a heroin addict and prognosticating the “nuclear” “meltdown” of her relationship with Brad Pitt.
