James Franco Will Show at Gagosian Gallery

James Franco’s latest project: He has reworked Gus Van Sant’s 1991 movie My Own Private Idaho to run alongside eight new works on paper by the filmmaker at the esteemed Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills. Renamed Endless Idaho, Franco used behind-the-scenes and deleted footage to transform My Own Private Idaho into a twelve-hour film. When you’re through with that, you can enjoy Franco’s My Own Private River, shots of River Phoenix set to an original score by Michael Stipe. And if you sit through all of this, you get to sleep with James Franco and/or become his best friend. No, we’re kidding, you just get to enjoy a twelve-hour version of My Own Private Idaho.
