Bill Hader Will Blow Up Your Movie Screens

Bill Hader is a likable guy. A likable guy who managed to turn a drug-addled, creepy club promoter into one of the most hilarious characters in Saturday Night Live’s current rotation. And that’s possibly why he’s got two major movies in the works. First, there’s Vaughn Meader, written by Big Fan screenwriter Rob Siegel and based on a true story. Explains Hader, “It’s about this guy who did these JFK impressions back in the ‘60s and he had this comedy album called The First Family and it was the biggest selling comedy record … He does this insane, amazing JFK impression and then JFK gets assassinated and his whole career goes away.” Okay!

And then there’s Henchman, directed by Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer. This one, explains Hader, “is about two guys who don’t realize it, but they’re two henchmen for like the bad guy in aBourne movie and then they slowly figure that they’re working for the wrong guys, but like doing it in the actual style of a Bourne movie.

So yes, more Hader, and hopefully more Stefon.
