Speaking to MTV News last night in Rhode Island on the first stop of his tour, Lil Wayne lets it be known: “Tha Carter IV is done. All they need to do is tell [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out.” The official release date is May 16 but, “It can come out tomorrow ‘cause I’m so finished. But you know, Tez likes to sit on stuff. No homo.” Okay, first: Wayne got out of prison in the beginning of November so, taking into consideration that he may be using pre-jail material, it took him about four and a half months to finish this thing. That’s good timing! And, more important: The album is done. That means it could be leaked, as Wayne points out, tomorrow. Just one more reason to wake up in the morning, every morning, between now and that fateful leak day. [MTV]
