Time for another installment of Cougar Town’s Writers vs. Actor! This week, supporting cast member Bob Clendenin is determined to convince the writers to stop pigeonholing him. He doesn’t just have to play Tom, the Cul de Sac crew’s hanger-on neighbor as the “weird creepy guy” — he’s a classically trained actor, after all! To sway the writers into give him a meatier part, Clendenin puts on an acting clinic, staging demonstrations of every emotion from jealousy and bravery, to a very convincing crazy. Bonuses include tossed traffic cones and a gritty cameo from Ian Gomez.
