The mayor of Florence, Italy, has issued a set of rules the cast of Jersey Shore will have to follow when they visit his city to film the fourth season of the show. Some of the rules insist that Florence be portrayed in a positive light (and not as a “drinking town”), but two of the rules effectively cripple the entire concept of Jersey Shore: (1) The cast cannot be filmed drinking in public. (2) The cast cannot be filmed in bars that serve alcohol. The cast is also required to interact with actual Florentines, and their “culture and good food,” and not just hang out with other Americans in Italy.
