Taylor Momsen’s “indefinite hiatus” from Gossip Girl just got a lot more definite. The erstwhile Jenny Humphrey will not return to the show next year as a series regular, reports TVLine, and neither will Jessica Szohr, whose Vanessa has been a minimal presence this season. Producers allow that the door is open for either Momsen or Szohr to return for guest appearances, but in the meantime, actress Kaylee DeFer (who plays Serena’s cousin Charlie) has been promoted to a series regular.
