With fourquels and fivequels all the rage this year, we suppose it was only a matter of time before Mike Myers dusted off the Austin Powers franchise, which has lain dormant for almost a decade. HitFix reports that Myers just signed on the dotted line for Austin Powers 4, though no story details are known and no other talent is yet attached. If it gets made, it’ll be a rare opportunity to see the increasingly MIA actor in a live-action movie: Since 2002’s Austin Powers in Goldmember, Myers has only appeared in four films outside the Shrek franchise, and one of those was his single-scene cameo in Inglourious Basterds.
