If you’re a recovering Will & Graceaddict who’s been praying for Sean Hayes to return to the small screen, good news: New NBC boss Bob Greenblatt just announced he’s signed a development deal with Hayes to star in a half-hour comedy for the 2012–13 TV season. It was one of several pacts Greenblatt unveiled Monday at the Peacock’s portion of the summer TV Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles, where the network also announced that it’s getting into the series business with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions, while continuing its association with The Office executive producer Greg Daniels. There’s a new twist with Daniels, however: Greenblatt says he’s expecting the writer, who once ran King of the Hill, to develop some animated projects for NBC. Other news nuggets from NBC: The Voice will begin its second season February 5, right after the Super Bowl; Smash will debut the next night (February 6) following a two-hour edition of The Voice; NBC vet Dick Wolf is working on a new drama set in the world of firefighters; the network is developing a game show called Celebrity Game Night; and Michael Buble will get his own holiday special on NBC this year, with Lorne Michaels and Ben Silverman producing. Ben Silverman!
