After delightful background cameos on Community, the cast of Cougar Town is taking its show on the road: They’ll be appearing in a slew of other series, mostly in tiny cameos but sometimes with actual roles. Tonight, Ian Gomez will be on Grey’s Anatomy and Christa Miller and Courteney Cox will be on Private Practice (as a lesbian couple), and in the coming weeks, members of the cul-de-sac crew will appear on Castle, Body of Proof, Man Up!, The Middle, How I Met Your Mother, Yo Gabba Gabba!, and maybe Parenthood and 2 Broke Girls. Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence says he hopes all the appearances “will be kind of a game for our fans,” and while spot-the-cast-member is a cute game, it is no pennycan. [USAT]
