There’s an Alan Turing Biopic in the Works, Maybe for Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo DiCaprio has “the inside track” to star in The Imitation Game, the recently acquired biopic of computer-science pioneer Alan Turing, according to Deadline. Turing helped crack the code for Enigma machines during World War II, created early computers during the fifties, and developed theories on artificial intelligence that are still relevant today — like the Turing Test, which asks not if computers can produce correct answers but if they can produce answers indistinguishable from a human being’s. But Imitation’s not just a math movie! Turing was also prosecuted under the U.K.’s anti-gay laws and was subjected to estrogen injections, and he later killed himself by eating an apple laced with cyanide. This has Oscar bait written all over it, Leo. [Deadline]
