As soon as Eddie Murphy and Brett Ratner bailed out of the Oscars, most pundits assumed that Billy Crystal would quickly be asked back to host by fill-in producer Brian Grazer. Now, it appears that’s exactly what happened, as Crystal just tweeted, “Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show.” If this news is for real, this would be Crystal’s ninth time hosting the Academy Awards telecast. Sorry, Muppets! UPDATE: Deadline says he’s in talks but that it’s going to happen. Someone’s got an itchy Twitter finger!
