Justin Timberlake is on a roll. The singer turned actor recently scored the important imprimatur of the Coen brothers when he landed a role in their upcoming folk musical Inside Lllewyn Davis, and now Variety reports that he’s been tapped to join Clint Eastwood in Trouble With the Curve. Timberlake will play a longtime friend of Eastwood’s (if you say so!), a former baseball pitcher who now works for the Yankees as a scout but still pitches woo at Eastwood’s daughter, played by Amy Adams. Unconventional pairings! Let’s hope this one goes better than the last time Timberlake acted in a baseball movie opposite a much older Oscar winner …
