Agenda Sweepstakes: ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’!

Photo: Etienne George/Courtesy of Miramax Films

Julian Schnabel’s The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, based on French Elle editor Jean-Dominique Bauby’s memoir, a tender account of his struggle with stroke-induced paralysis, has been flooring critics. (Our own David Edelstein deemed it "a masterpiece in which locked-in syndrome becomes the human condition.") We’re giving away three prize packs, each including a one-year membership to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the film's soundtrack, and a copy of Bauby's memoir. Enter now!

Agenda Sweepstakes: New York by ‘New York’!

New York by New York is an experiment in six parts. We're collaborating with some of our favorite bands, D.J.'s, vegan chefs, comedians, and underqualified art auctioneers on six events through January. For this month's event, on December 18, our friends at UCBT have combined the best and worst aspects of office holiday parties into one hilarious night. Enjoy their sketch comedy and crowd-driven improv while drinking ambiguous red punch with fellow "co-workers." The icing on our office holiday cake will be an amazing rock show by We Are Scientists. Win tickets now! (If you don't get lucky, you can also buy them here. Purchases come with a subscription to New York, which you should be reading anyway. You live here, right?)
