Meet the Fug Girls

If Jessica had the cash, she'd be buying Narciso Rodriguez gowns. But she's a writer who has no money or invitations to things that require gowns. Instead, she maxes out her credit cards on very expensive jeans. And shoes. Her favorite shirt cost $40 at Topshop.
Heather plans to swap a kidney for a Diane Von Furstenberg dress, because what else would you wear to a pretend dinner date with Joan Collins? (Maybe Diane could come, too — imagine that table.) In the meantime, she wanders past the Nanette Lepore store and sighs dreamily at the window displays before shuffling into Old Navy.
The Fug Girls also write a weekly column for New York magazine's Daily Intelligencer. You can read it here.
