There are several people we'd expect to give Vera Wang a standing ovation, but Project Runway season-three winner Jeffrey Sebelia is not one of them. And yet he was the first person on his feet at the end of Wang's show this afternoon.

The rest of the crowd followed suit only sporadically. From what we could overhear on the way out of the tent, reaction to Wang's somber collection was mixed. It is hard to imagine the socialites in the crowd — a now familiar jumble of Tinsley Mortimer, Fabiola Beracasa, Aerin Lauder, and Olivia Chantecaille, who looked as melancholy as Wang's collection — sharing Sebelia's enthusiasm, but to appropriate James Van Der Beek in Varsity Blues, we don't know their lives. — The Fug Girls
