Calvin Klein
Calvin Klein was all about precise attention to detail. Tailoring and constructed silhouettes were executed perfectly. Fabrics and textures seamlessly blended together, and the color palette focusing on deep navy and black was minimal yet luxurious. The slim shapes were youthful with a bit of sex appeal, and the micro-pleated metallic gowns at the end were stunning.

Zac Posen
Elaborate details were present in every look of this collection, from the “fairytale” gowns to the tailored suiting. Taffeta, velvet bows, and ruffles helped to create an overall boudoir feel. Sheer layering looked young but did not completely translate for evening, and full gowns were absolutely beautiful although quite dramatic. Highlights were a red and black embroidered dress and an all-black smoking jumpsuit.

Proenza Schouler
The Proenza show was a beautiful display of vibrant jewel-toned colors, luxurious fabrications, and elaborate folding details. Oversize folds were present in dresses, jackets, and trousers, adding a sense of drama to otherwise simple and monochromatic looks. The wide-leg trousers with the exaggerated fold at the waist created a new way to wear an evening pant. Bronze and black sequins were glamorous and wearable. Overall the collection was stunning, young, and perfect for a fall and holiday season.

Matthew Williamson
Matthew Williamson did what he does best: an eclectic mix of color, embroidery, print, and fabrication. The bohemian tops and dresses were paired with metallic parkas and fur accents. Matthew focused on outerwear and knitwear in addition to his signature dresses. The show was bright and happy. Highlights were rose-printed and embroidered tops and dresses as well as rainbow argyles and plaids.
