Eva Mendes's plans to appear in Calvin Klein perfume ads were thwarted when she went to rehab several weeks ago. But Mendes is out — yay! — and it appears her relationship with the label is still going strong. In fact, she celebrated her 34th birthday with a trip to the Madison Avenue Calvin Klein store yesterday, where head CK designer Francisco Costa gave her some gifts. One of her favorites, apparently, was a gray cashmere turtleneck sweater. She says her new "spring color" is gray, which we don't quite get because this spring is all about color, color, color in shades that are loud, loud, LOUD. Maybe Eva is still feeling a little subdued.
