Luckily for up-and-coming models, there are also designers like Alexander Wang, who gives the newbies a real shot. He said he likes how rising novices give the show “a fresh feeling.” Fresh, indeed: He was the first designer to pick up Amanda Laine, who went on to huge bookings all over Paris. So, how can you earn a spot on his September runway? “It’s the attitude and feeling you get from a girl when she walks in.
