Victoria's Secret Sues Macy's; Naomi Campbell Flies Again

Photo: Getty Images

• Last month Phat Fashions sued Victoria's Secret because the latter's "P" logo looked a lot like the former's "P" logo. Today we learn Victoria's Secret is suing Macy's for making "confusingly" similar apparel to its Pink line under its Pinkish label. We await a Macy's copyright suit next week. [WWD]

• Naomi Campbell got on a plane yesterday and didn't get kicked off. Yay! She flew all the way to Brazil on TAM airlines (not British Airways) where she's trying to raise awareness of dengue fever. [British Vogue]

• Here's a preview of Ashlee Simpson's line for Wet Seal. Rather than judge, we'll just tell you it's full of colored animal print. [FabSugar]

• Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made their first trip to China last week to promote their clothing line the Row. At a trunk show in Beijing, they stayed in the store after the event ended to restyle the mannequins and do a training session with staff. [WWD]

• Welsh soul singer Duffy may be Dolce & Gabbana's next muse. [British Vogue]

• The bridal-collection shows started on Friday. Jezebel doesn't like the gowns. [Jezebel]

• The first European Marc by Marc Jacobs store will open in Paris later this year. [WWD]

• After the success of V magazine's model-search winner, Vman is doing its own model search, so grease up, boys! [WWD]

• Patrick Dempsey gets a lot of shit from his wife and paparazzi when he wears spandex pants out of the house to go on bike rides in L.A. [NYP]

• Supermodel Adriana Lima took her mom to a burlesque show, where she got more attention from the drag-queen host than Lima did, even though Lima had a "sexy wrap top" on. And we thought we were the only ones who had that problem. [NYP]

• Because you were dying to know: Mary McFadden still designs two clothing lines. [NYP]

• You know how fashion houses get makeovers when they bring in new, young designers to take over? Well, a bunch of designer stores in Paris are getting redone to mirror that. [IHT]
