Giorgio Armani's Favorite Dress; Victoria Beckham Gets Awkward

• Giorgio Armani's favorite dress at the Costume Institute Superheroes exhibition is Gareth Pugh's. [British Vogue]

• David and Victoria Beckham shared an awkward four-way hug with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony on the red carpet at the Met gala last night. It was made more awkward by Posh's pissed-off expression. The woman is such an angry air-kisser. [NYDN]

• Carolina Herrera plans to open 61 more stores by the end of 2009 in places like Kuwait, Jeddah, Qatar, Bahrain, and Caracas, Venezuela. Then she'll take over the world, which might not be a bad thing. [WWD]

• Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet is preggers! Next up: a wedding! (As if you couldn't guess.) [NYP]

• Kylie Minogue requested couture Jean Paul Gaultier looks for her upcoming concert tour including a purple "skeleton" number. Gaultier describes one of his favorite looks for the show as a "manga type of girl" with a dash of Orthodox iconography. Okaaaay. [WWD]

Dreamgirls director Bill Condon directed the commercial for the new Thierry Mugler perfume starring Naomi Watts walking through suspended perfume bottles. It'll mostly be broadcast in European markets. Boo, hiss! [WWD]

• Here's Agyness Deyn on the cover of the new British Vogue — its "White Heat" issue. So no, she just won't quit. [British Vogue]

• Tory Burch is bringing Blake Lively to the CFDA Awards. So Blake Lively won't freaking quit either. [Fashion Week Daily]

• Fashion and politics are joined at the hip. Proof: Deeda Blair wore an Obama button on the hip of her Chanel couture suit at the birthday party of Vanity Fair's best-dressed-list maker Amy Fine Collins. [NYP]

• Sis dis! Ashley Olsen came in at No. 47 on Maxim's "Hot 100" list while Mary-Kate was left off. [NYP]

• Vivienne Westwood: "We've all got to wear something, I suppose. So my advice would be to buy quality. Choose well. I think there's a certain status in seeing someone wearing the same thing over and over again." So Anna Wintour was on to something with that Prada number. [British Vogue]

• When men buy sunglasses, they must be careful not to look like dorks or "low-grade Albanian pimps." [Times UK]
