Earlier this month Carroll Gardens welcomed Epaulet, a trendy boutique stocking clothes by a mix of emerging and established designers. Currently you'll find labels like LOVA, Mulholland Brothers, and Cheap Monday, but starting June 12, the store will host a Christopher Deane pop-up shop. The label, co-founded in 2002 by designers Christopher Crawford and Angela Deane, is carried at Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, and a smattering of boutiques. (Crawford is also the creative mind behind the Sophia Eugene line.) Through July 13 the pop-up will carry the label’s 2008 spring/summer line, which includes vintage-inspired silk cocktail dresses, vibrant floral-print frocks, and cropped jackets.

The boutique has several other special projects in the works, including artist collaborations. Kicking off that series are exclusive T-shirts designed by Tom Eaton, who has done work for Sufjan Stevens. This fall, the store comes out with a private eponymous label, which will include heavy knit sweaters, small leather goods, and custom-made men's dress shirts.
