Once upon a time Fur Fashion Week spanned an entire week and Anna Wintour attended. This year it's a whopping two days long and we're not sure if A-Dubs is going to be front and center. Nonetheless, it shall rage on today and tomorrow in our very own city. Organized by the Fur Information Council of America, it includes seventeen presentations by designers like Michael Kors, Bill Blass, Ralph Rucci, Isaac Mizrahi, Peter Som, and Zac Posen. This year's Fur Week kicked off by bestowing Emerging Fur Designer of the Year awards on Doo.Ri Chung in the Accessories category and Chris Benz in the Full Garment category. (We saw Benz's granny-inspired fall collection up close at Fashion Week, and we must say it was pretty freaking adorable.) There was one depressing thing about Fur Week this year, though: It was cold enough for attendees to wear their fur coats to the awards luncheon. Or maybe that's the awesome thing about this year's Fur Week/Two Days? Fur Fashion Week works in mysterious ways.
